Mica Paper

Mica is an insulating, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, stable and environmentally friendly material that can improve the safety of diaphragms and spacers in terms of spatial stability and heat-resistant properties, respectively.

Whether it is calcined or non-calcined mica paper, its mechanical strength is low and generally cannot be used directly. This is because the mica scales lack large enough orientation force, recrystallization direction can not be very consistent, and thus the mica surface is easy to produce the introduction of moisture inlet, and mica fresh surface is easy to attract gas containing water, hydroxyl and its similar ions or molecules, which completely affects the close bonding of the mica paper, so the mica paper needs to be made into a variety of products with adhesives, reinforcing materials, in order to be used for different requirements of the various aspects.

At present, China’s mica paper products in addition to the traditional mica tape, soft powder mica board, molding powder mica board, commutator powder mica board, liner powder mica board, powder mica foil, more recently appeared a new type of heat-resistant mica paper products.
