Japan's crude steel output in August was 8.1 million tons, down 7.8% year-on-year. South Korea's crude steel output in August was 5.9 million tons, down 2.6 year-on-year.
In the EU countries, German crude steel production in August 2019 was 3.3 million tons, up 0.8% year-on-year; Spanish crude steel production was 1.1 million tons, down 4.6% year-on-year. Italy's crude steel output in August was 900,000 tons, down 26.7% year-on-year. France's crude steel output in August was 1.1 million tons, up 11.2% year-on-year.
Turkey's crude steel output in August 2019 was 2.6 million tons, down 12.4% year-on-year.
Ukrainian crude steel production in August 2019 was 1.9 million tons, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year.
US crude steel production in August 2019 was 7.5 million tons, up 0.3% year-on-year.
